designed for memories! Church Creek family living

To review, this generational home for two brothers and their families was built with two mirror image wings. Master on the bottom, firstborn on the second floor and second children on the third floor! Each floor has a common living/conversation seating area that separates each bedroom. The homeowners planned perfectly for nurturing family ties and creating memories for generations to come. I won’t spotlight every room, but let’s set the stage for this unique concept, fairly free of media hubs with plenty of reading nooks and conversation and/or game playing areas.

Blush and Boho influence in the bedding and bed bring personality to this bedroom. Enjoy the water view or temper the sun with power operated screen shades, or pull the luscious draperies for room darkening. Chinoiserie tables original to the former family retreat that was leveled act as nightstands here. Soft hues with interest make this room relaxing and personal.

Just one floor up and this bit of drama lures you in! Each of the 6 bedrooms houses a king size bed, so there was minimal room for night stands. Note the creative use of small accent tables here with a cool pendant over each. Just large enough for a glass of water, cell phone or iPad. There’s plenty of drawer space in the adjoining bathroom, no worries!

Note the deep seated custom mattress in the window here. There are a number of these throughout the house. This vision came from the homeowners. A place for relaxing, or an extra overnight guest. Bookshelves with sconces for atmosphere and reading lend a place for accents and collectibles. It’s just dreamy.

As mentioned, each of the bedrooms have private baths attache. The common palette for these bathrooms was black and white. Classic, timeless, versatile. When this unusually shaped rug came into my store, I snatched it up and it turned out to be just perfect for this bathroom! Dark gray cabinetry, light gray granite and matching mirror cabinets complete this bathroom. This room spotlights the use of black framed windows, used throughout the home. I’m a big fan! The black framed shower doors appear throughout the home as well and add a striking design element. The use of clean white subway tile keeps the look classic and hip at the same time.

Jump down to one of the master baths and get ready to sigh! Black and white marble flooring..and yes, radiant heat. A smaller scale marble floor, also in a black and white classic basketweave is the coordinating shower tile. White marble countertops and just a peek of the perfect rug! Take a soak in this luxurious freestanding tub, and don’t worry about all those “eyes” on you! These Fornasetti plates were the vision of the homeowner and we found the perfect configuration to display them with exactness! Satin gold accents complete the high style of this fabulous and personal space. (Peek into that water closet for a darling cheetah print wallcovering)!
