fall asleep in luxury: newtown estate bedrooms

This double story large master bedroom from a Newtown estate project boasts room for a beautiful king canopy bed. A striking combination of rich espresso and polished nickel, this bed is a personal favorite! Classic with a modern touch, the bed was easily paired with fine bedside chests from a redesign a few years ago in the homeowner’s former home.

Add a Tibetan lamb bench with acrylic legs at the foot of the bed, and you’ve just walked in to a five star master bedroom! Finely crafted custom draperies have layers of blackout screens and lovely sheers for daytime light diffusing. The views are impressive, and light filtering sheers here were the perfect choice. You’ll have to use your imagination for yet another beautiful chandelier in this room (and the adjoining sitting room, not shown). Neutral ivory and golds keeps the room on par with the vision of soft, lovely, calm interest.

The master bathroom en suite represents the art of bathing. This bathtub is exquisite and a piece of art on its own. It sets the stage for an ethereal color palette. The sheer drapery, with a silver metallic block pattern, delicately accents the tub. All of the polished chrome appointments create a bright and elegant glow throughout the room.  And no worries, when you’re ready to sink into that tub, there is a privacy shade hidden under the wallpapered valance!

Coming home to visit the family is a treat in this cozy and stylish bedroom. With the intention to create a modern and chic bedroom, a light color palette was key. From the textured, upholstered headboard with a washed wood finish, to the cream lacquer chest, subtle artwork with glitter and mica, and a mirror-framed mirror, all the elements are lovingly layered and welcoming. It’s perfect for a returning successful professional or a weekend guest.

Staying in this room is equally comfortable while visiting the family. This bedroom has a more casual feel, yet still tailored. With a linen upholstered bed, stone top side tables and bold and colorful orange accents, these elements create a refuge for any guest. The custom artwork is from our very own Amy Lee, a project manager on staff who is a talented artist. They are perfect companion pieces, add just the right amount of edge to the design, and bring in the silver organic accents. The challenge in this room was pairing function with style and purpose. We had limited space for bedside tables, and these are just perfectly sized for the limited dimensions we had. With a lamp, nightcap, phone and book … who wouldn’t want to be a guest here?
