What’s your favorite thing in your house right now? The designers and home store staff at Black-eyed Susan answer!
Juliana Ferrazzi, Lead Designer: A little sign that reads ‘good vibes only’ that sits on my entry table. It is surrounded with photos of my family, talismans and crystals. I see it when I leave in the morning and come home at the end of the day. It reminds my to take a deep breath and vibrate higher!
John Gibbs, Home Store Manager: This is a window ledge in my family room. The centerpiece is a horse head purchased from Black-eyed Susan (of course!) that is a replica of the 33′ bronze horse head located in London’s Marble Arch park. The statue is flanked with other pieces I’ve collected and a very simple light fixture. I find it very serene.
Amy Lee, Project Manager: For me it’s creating my own “autumn brew” and having it simmer on the stove all season long. I simmer cinnamon sticks, gloves, anise stars and allspice in water. It really sets the mood in my home for a beautifully natural-smelling, autumn-spiced season.
Jackie Macli, Senior Project Manager: This is a corner in my bedroom that always makes me happy. A vintage dressing table that I painted is filled with family photos and cherished things like a butter pat dish and a bejeweled monogrammed pouch from dear friends. A little boudoir chair that I found at the flea market is slipcovered and ruffled (I love ruffles!), and a dreamy soft blue animal print pillow adds some panache.
Nicole Muller, Home Store Coordinator: My succulent table centerpiece is my favorite accessory in my house right now. It definitely is a statement piece when people enter the kitchen. It is very easy to add to for decorating with any season, while remaining a staple accessory piece.
Rachel Olenick, Marketing Director: The first thing people notice when they walk in is the triple-tiered chandelier over the kitchen table. It’s perfectly oversized without being fussy. Even when the kitchen table is stacked with kids’ craft projects, your eye is drawn to the style statement in the room!
