There is sooooo much about this room to love! Another natural palette of white, naturals and black, yet far from repetitive. Open beams, water view, four poster bed … natural fibers mixed with satiny smooth bed covers. It’s a place to dream in for sure. A pair of small barrel chairs are perfect for morning coffee and water fowl watching. A pair of matching lamps was added to this modern-meets-classic room design. *sigh*
Beautiful custom draperies function to close fully for privacy or sun control. A natural weave with fabulous woven trim placed at just the right place sets the scene for perfection.
A four poster bed in black iron was the homeowner’s vision from the beginning. Modern art, a pop of color and custom bedding in satiny smooth, chic textiles speak style here. Again, little room for bedside tables led us to these ceramic stool. They function perfectly for everyday needs while adding contrast and personality. You can see a peek into the master water closet all the way through on the right. Separating the master bedroom and master ensuite is a generous walk in closet (of course!) with mirrored French doors.
Here’s that famous water closet I keep talking about! It was so difficult to photograph this room! All 7 bathrooms received a strong dose of high style and personality with wallpaper. All were in black and white! It is so rewarding to design for clients who trust and have vision. Love. Love. Love.
Remember that pop of color on the bed in teal? I’ll share a little secret with you! The teal chairs from a previous daughter’s room were initially slated for this room…but during installation, the homeowner loved these more and we made a switch from the third floor to the master suite! They worked perfectly in either room. That’s the beauty of designing with such perfect coordination, one can often make switches at the last minute when the mood strikes! Another touch I love in this room is the overlaying runner that cuts across just the corner of the natural sisal rug used in this room. All of the wood floors were sealed and left the natural color of white oak. Look hard and you will see the natural sisal. Our collaboration with the homeowner (who has excellent taste and a perfect eye for design) made the project so enjoyable! I love being inspired by another’s fine eye for style. We try to listen to our homeowners and take delight in this process.
Natural light gray textured fabric with black frames made these chairs a perfect fit for this master suite. Water views entice one to sit and relax. Sheer perfection.
